Digital courses for women in Velez-Malaga

THE Local Council of Velez-Malaga has announced that it will be holding new classes aimed at developing digital skills for women.
The project has been created in partnership with the Foundation Cibervoluntarios and is designed to encourage and develop skills in digital marketing and enhancing the entrepreneurship qualities of women in the region.
Courses will start on September 25 to 26 and will continue with dates in October and November.
Councillor for Enterprise and Employment, María José Roberto explained that ” Cibervoluntarios is made up of professionals of new technologies who contribute their knowledge and time to society, to help train people in digital skills, working with entities such as Google, Women’s Foundation, Facebook, Government of Spain and in this case with the City of Velez-Malaga.”
This latest project for the Axarquian capital is part of a larger initiative to increase the employability and job prospects in the municipality with an overall aim at reducing the regions unemployment rates.
Roberto added that “this program adds to the many others that have been carried out by the City Council, which have already benefited more than 4,000 users.”
Registrations for the first workshop on 25 and 26 September can be made on the website www.empresayempleo.velezmalaga.es or in person at the Edificio de Empresa y Empleo (old urban building) located in Calle San Francisco, 3.
