MORE than 700 people took the opportunity to enjoy free guided tours of Nijar village this summer.
With these routes we want to show visitors and all residents the cultural landmarks and arts and crafts places of interest which have contributed to Nijar becoming established as one of the Prettiest Villages in Spain at the same time as offering an alternative to the coast, since inland tourism is a great option”, commented Tourism councillor Tonibel Sanchez
The councillor said the number of people who had joined the tours to find out more about sights like the market square, the public laundry area and the church “has exceeded expectations, which shows the growing interest in the village.”
The various guided tours will continue throughout September. So too will the municipality’s tourist information points
