RENFE: Jazzy new trains for 2020

The newest model to the Spanish national rail service RENFE will certainly turn a few heads.

The model which will be presented in October and will run as of Easter 2020 will have carriages painted in a striking purple with silver running along the top and a bright orange doors, just to spice it up even more.

So if you thought purple clashed with orange don’t tell RENFE. The purple is actually RENFE’s official logo colour, although the high current high-speed AVE trains have a primary white colour.

These new models are being prepared in Toledo, Malaga and Valladolid. RENFE hopes with this new design to be at the forefront of design against fellow competitors. The model and colours are certainly ambitious and they will brighten up the tracks shortly.

The new model is actually a Talgo of the 112 series, which, once redesigned, both inside and outside, will serve as the basis for the new model and will aid to popularise rail travel even more.
