NOW that The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) is in its 24th series, there is no doubt that it has become a real part of the British psyche and has made stars out of a number of quite pleasant but basically unremarkable people.
This year, in a change from the norm, it is filming an overseas section last rather than first in the series and many of the long serving cast are delighted to be returning to Marbella after trips to Sardinia and Thailand.
There are eight new cast members in the 2019 line-up, many of whom have never visited this popular Spanish party resort before and today (Tuesday), a group of 13 cast members were relaxing whilst being filmed at the popular La Sala by the Sea in Puerto Banus.
Although not a secret assignation, as the beach club was open to the general public, visitors were discouraged from photographing the stars, not by the very friendly TOWIE group but by the filmmakers.
They were however happy to pose for your reporter from Euro Weekly News and one of the group even said that it was his favourite newspaper on the coast whilst others expressed their pleasure to be returning to this party capital or visiting for the first time.
