FIVE people have been injured after an ambulance crashed into a river in the La Coruña area yesterday morning.
The incident took place at around 7.15am in Bendaña in the Touro area of La Coruna.
Of the five injured, four were patients waiting for dialysis treatment who were being transported to the centre for treatment.
Urxencias Sanitarias de Galicia-061, the Firemen of O Deza and Arzúa, the Guardia Civil de Tráfico and the Volunteer Groups of Civil Protection of Vila de Cruces and Touro were issued to the scene to deal with the casualties who only sustained minor injuries.
According to Guardia Civil reports, the driver, who was also injured in the crash, tested negative for alcohol.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
