Free Spanish Lessons To Help Brits Integrate Better

A Spanish councilor has come up with a forward-thinking plan for Brits moving or living in Spain to better integrate with their Spanish neighbours.

Councillor for Immigration, Mayte Sánchez, confirmed Town Hall funding from the Diputación de Alicante, and all the funds are available for British and other foreign nationals to learn the art of speaking fluent Spanish.

The courses offered by the Town Hall are high intense courses enabling fluent Spanish rather than “just a few words”

For those of you wishing to attend The course starts on Monday, September 7, from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, in the Carmen Conde Civic Centre. Although you will need to register first,
registration is at the Department of Immigration at Casa Casinello (Calle Solores, Orihuela) or by calling 965 306 645.

Councillor Sanchez said about her plans “This responds to the need for high-level courses since the courses offered by some public and private institutions are of entry-level. The program improves the integration of foreign people residing in Orihuela, which is our main goal.”
