Ricky Lavazza’s ” Remembering Elvis” was a total sell-out last night as 315 die-hard Elvis fans packed into the Moonlight Bar at the Sunset Beach hotel in Benalmadena.

Lavazza stormed onto the stage at 9 pm to rapturous applause as he fired into all the old Elvis favourites of the past going through the 50’s and then the 60’s numbers.

Ricky was backed by special star guests Mills & Boon who had flown in from the UK especially for the event, who were soon amazing the packed audience with their excellent signing voices in harmony with each other.

It was a delight to see so many happy faces in the crowded audience and we interviewed a few during the half time interview.

First was Elvis dressed Lance Bright from Fuengirola “what a fantastic show and the stage set is amazing with the screens showing the Elvis story” said Lance.

Josie Williams ” Oh I love Elvis and I love Ricky too, I’ve come down from Nerja especially for this show and it’s been well worth it, I can’t wait for the second half”

Miriam Bonner commented ” isn’t he fabulous I’ve never seen him before, you can tell he’s an out and out, Elvis fan as he puts so much effort into each song  I’m glad this was on whilst here on holiday, it’s made it”

After the show, we got a quick word with Ricky as he posed for photographs who said ” I’m glad everyone enjoyed remembering Elvis it’s just a shame we had to close the doors and turn latecomers away as we couldn’t fit them all in”

“You the Euro Weekly News ran an article on the event and clearly your message gets out as the leading media outlet on the coast,” said Lavazza as late door numbers swelled.
