Same Sex Couple To Enter Dancing On Ice

Dancing on Ice are set to beat rival Strictly to the post by having a same-sex couple dancing together on the show.

Steps singer Ian “H” Watkins from Cowbridge Wales will be teamed up with professional dancer Matt Evers on the forthcoming series of Dancing On Ice.

Gay “H” who recently shacked up with the husband of BBC Welsh newsreader Lucy Cohen, is understood to have asked about the chances of being paired with a male professional ice dancer and the production team on the ITV show was “fully supportive”.

It follows years of gossip that same-sex couples would feature on a TV dance competition.

The BBC had previously said it was “completely open” to having them on Strictly Come Dancing.

“H” 43, will be joined on the 2020 version of Dancing On Ice by celebrities that lists businesswoman Caprice Bourret, Trisha Goddard, Ben Hanlin, ex-footballer Kevin Kilbane and newsreader Lucrezia Millarini.
