THE Guardia Civil are investigating the death of an elderly couple in the Sangonera la Seca area of Murcia after their bodies were found in their home earlier this week.
A neighbour reportedly alerted the authorities when she spotted one of the property’s windows was broken and failed to get any response when she knocked on the door.
According to Spanish press the bodies of the two victims, both in their seventies, showed signs of injuries, but an autopsy and a forensic analysis will determine whether the cause of death was an act of violence or an accident, possibly a gas bottle explosion.
The couple had three children, but lived alone in the house.
