THE provincial government and Chirivel council have been talking through possible solutions for updating the municipality’s water and sewage systems. The Diputacion de Almeria Vice-president Oscar Liria and Chirivel Mayor Jose Torregrosa met recently with a specialist in hydrological infrastructure at the provincial Public Works department offices to discuss the problems the municipality experiences in terms of breakages and leaks and collapses in the network and blockages caused by limescale in the water. “It was a very important meeting for planning the actions which the municipality needs, and we have pledged to evaluate and project the investments and the works to be carried out to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the municipal water networks”, Liria commented.
