THE Recycle Glass for them initiative with its pink “igloos” will remain in Javea until November 15. Kika Mata, councillor responsible for Services, explained that the two recycling containers in the Plaza Marina Alta in front of the Correos post office will continue there until October 31. They will then be moved to Plaza Adolfo Suarez where they will remain for another two weeks, enabling Duanes residents to participate in the campaign. Glass recycling firm Ecovidrio will transform the value of the glass deposited in the pink containers into a donation to the Fundacion Sandra Ibarra de Solidaridad Frente al Cancer foundation, which raises funds for the prevention of cancer and research into the disease. Recycle glass for them is present in more than 60 towns and cities nationwide and it is also possible to contribute to the campaign by obtaining a mini-igloo designed by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada from the www.miniglu.es website.
