AN association for missing people has issued a reminder that the search is still on for an Almeria man last seen on September 1.

The Fundacion Europea por las Personas Desaparecidas (European Foundation for Missing Persons) founded by TV journalist Paco Lobaton posted a message stressing that the whereabouts of Carlos Olmeda Puertas is still unknown.

There has been no trace of the 39-year old, who suffers from schizophrenia, since he left his home in Calle Sagunto in Almeria city at the beginning of last month.

The National Centre of Missing People reported that Carlos is 1.7 metres tall and weighs 75 kilos. He also has a number of tattoos, one of them on his torso.

All police patrols in Almeria and El Ejido are carrying the missing man’s photo, as are all plainclothes police officers.
