FOLLOWING news this morning of 39 bodies discovered in a lorry at Waterglade Industrial Park in Thurrock, there have been further updates and a recent report saying nine more people have been found in the back of a lorry travelling on the London-bound carriageway of the M20
19:00: Kent Police says nine people have been found in the back of a lorry travelling on the London-bound carriageway of the M20 (18:00 GMT)
17:30: Essex Police says officers now believe the lorry travelled from Zeebrugge in Belgium into Purfleet and docked in the Thurrock area and that the tractor unit of the lorry is “believed to have originated in Northern Ireland” (16:30 GMT)
16:30: It is understood that the name of the 25-year-old man arrested in connection with the discovery of 39 bodies in a lorry container in Essex is Mo Robinson who lives near Portadown in County Armagh (15:30 GMT)
15:30: Reuters reports Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry says “the Scania truck was registered in the city of Varna under the name of a company owned by an Irish citizen” after Essex Police discovered the bodies of 39 people in a lorry container at Waterglade Industrial Park in Thurrock (14:30 GMT)
