THE Coin branch of the Royal British Legion launched their 2019 poppy appeal with a poppy fair on that made over €500.
This was followed on Friday with a dinner dance at La Parilla de Pepe’s. Around 50 diners enjoyed a three-course meal and then danced the night away to their favourite songs sung by talented branch members Brian and Loraine Parsons.
Chairman Jo Taylor conducted a raffle that made another €100 and enabled many of the diners to go home with a wide-ranging assortment of prizes.
At the end of the night Jo thanked everyone for making the launch of this year’s poppy appeal such a great success.
