Brit And 3 Poles Busted At Sea In Drugs Bust

A British man and three Polish men were arrested aboard a yacht, when it was found to have three tonnes of hashish on board.

The arrest was part of a Frontex operation, code named Indalo.

The yacht had been seen next to another loaded with packages, some 15 miles from the Spanish coast in the Mar de Alborán.

The Frontex HQ tipped off the Guardia Civil in Almería, who intercepted the yacht heading for Almería.

The four onboard a 58-year-old Briton and three Polish citizens aged 55, 48 and 47, were arrested as soon as the drugs was discovered during the start of the search of the yacht.

Once in port, the suspects were handed over and carted to the police station and the vessel searched from top to bottom, which uncovered 93 packages, containing 3,100 kilos of hashish.
