First customer of Velez Malaga’s technology park

AXARQUIAN logistic company, Surlogist, have been announced the first business to invest the Parque Tecnoalimentario plot in the capital.

The company have committed to two plots totalling 2,500 square metres and a total value of €409,870.

A popular name in the region, Surlogist provide transport and logistic solutions for the agri-food sector throughout Axarquia.

According to administrator of Surlogist, the investment will help the company expand its activity in the region, whilst simultaneously dynamising the local employment and infrastructure.

The contract was signed on Wednesday 30 October by Velez Mayor, Antonio Moreno Ferrer and councillor of Parque Tecnoalimentario, María José Roberto for the sale of the plot, which will mean that now all available plots on the parquet have been reserved.

“For us this firm is great news for the wealth and employment generation of our municipality because, a company installed in Velez-Malaga for many years that needed to expand their facilities, has opted for the Parque Tecnoalimentario to continue its expansion and growth, to generate new jobs and contribute to generate greater wealth and welfare for our city and for the agricultural sector throughout the region,” said Ferrer.

“We continue to meet our goal of working to place this professional space the place it deserves, as a business reference point of Axarquia and the province, and as a space for innovation and development of the companies that occupy it.” He continued.
