TORROX will, for the first time, hold a full day of activities to celebrate Halloween this Thursday.
Along with neighbouring El Morche, Torrox will hold an elaborate program of terrifying activities aimed at both adults and children.
The activities were launched on Monday by mayor of Torrox, Óscar Medina, along with deputy mayor of El Morche, María de los Ángeles Ruiz, and the Councillor for Fiestas and Popular Traditions, Salvador Escudero.
“Many residents of El Morche had been dressing up for several years on this date and for the first time we wanted to organize a party from the town hall to meet the demands of our neighbours, adapting to today’s tastes,” said Medina.
Customary aniseed stalls and roasted chestnut carts will be providing important energy to the hundreds of expected party goers.
Dance performances by the dance groups of Estefanía and the musical group of the company Dani Cantos and La Bruja de Los Cuentos will be wowing the crowds with live performances and bouncy castles and craft workshops will be keeping the children entertained as they get their face painted in scary make up.
Salvador Escudero has explained that from the consistory have organized two parties that can be enjoyed simultaneously both in the Plaza de la Constitución Torrox and the Paseo Marítimo de El Morche from six o’clock in the afternoon.”
Even the canopy of umbrellas in Torrox´s Plaza de la Constitucion have been given a Halloween twist.
