RINCON de la Victoria held the first Annual Warrior Challenge on Sunday 22 with at least 1,200 competitors taking on the 12 kilometre course.
The event was launched by councillor of Sports and Tourism, Antonio José Martín (PP) with a packed crowd turning out to witness the feats of strength and endurance.
The event was organised by Desafío de Guerreros and consisted of a 12 kilometre obstacle course with a total of 25 obstacles for the entrants to navigate.
The race began at 10am at the Tourist Office and took place over the course of the morning, with runners leaving in batches of 150.
Obstacles ranged from ´Goliath´ which involved a 6 metre vertical wall to climb over to ´Zombie Attack´ which took place in the tunnel of El Cantal.
Medals were awarded to the winners of each category and points towards the 2020 World Obstacle Racing Championship.
