A WOMAN is under arrest on suspicion of a vicious attack at a Denia night spot.
Police believe the detainee hit a woman in the face with a glass she had in her hand after they got into an argument at the exit of a disco in the early hours of the morning, leaving the victim with serious cuts on her temple.
A patrol which was in the area rushed to the scene following an alert from the 091 service. However the aggressor had already made off by the time they got there.
The officers stayed with the injured woman and applied first-aid until a health team arrived and took her to hospital. She needed more than 30 stitches for the cuts.
Police investigations led to the identification of the suspect and her subsequent detention.
