THE Age Support Almanzora charity Beerfest boosted the fund for a new hospital-style bed by nearly €500. Staged at the Albox Tennis Club, guests were treated to music by Los Desparados, traditional food, a schnapps bar, a photodrop and an auction and sale. ASA fundraiser Ellen Green praised the staff for their warm welcome, the entertainers and all the volunteers who made the evening such a success, including model Anita Stobridge and the Schnapps girls Liz and Sue. ASA issued a huge thanks to everyone who supported the event. Ellen said she was delighted by the number of guests who had dressed the part for the evening and really got into the spirit of the theme.
