Charity dinner in San Pedro

CADI: Always raising funds  Credit: http://www.asociacioncadi.org

The annual race to get the first bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau across the Channel to London always achieves global publicity. The BBC covered the event last year, as it does every year, and it is features in all manner of publications.

The event was started by The Red Arrows show last year and prior to that, many motoring personalities have been present in preceding years.

Spain of course has been slightly less excited by the young red wine as it has plenty of its own, but this year, there is a chance to sip a glass or two, enjoy a meal and help raise funds for charity.

On the evening of Thursday November 21, the Asociación Francofonos de Costa del Sol is hosting a dinner at the Restaurante El Gamonal on the road to La Quinta in San Pedro which will include a welcome drink, dinner, the ubiquitous Beaujolais Nouveau and music.

Tickets cost just €45 and can be purchased by emailing president@asociacionfrancofonos.eu or calling 625 582 799.

Beneficiary of the event will be the Centro de Atención a la Diversidad Infantil (CADI) based in Marbella which was formed about seven years ago in order to try to assist parents with children who have mental and physical disabilities but who are entitled to enjoy as normal a life as possible.
