THE latest plenary session in Nerja has approved a bill that aims to lower Real Estate tax, both urban and rural in 2020.
The proposal, put forward by the municipalities PP government, also aims to reduce municipal vehicle tax.
The opposition PSOE government abstained from voting on the plans, and Adelante Nerja’s IBI reduction proposal.
The meeting proved to be a fruitful one, with many previously incomplete proposals being approved.
One of the most crucial topics discussed was the repayment of the debt owed to the Nerja Fire Station owed by the Junta de Andalucía, which has allowed steps to be now put into place for the opposition parties to now work together to discuss a way to resolve the ongoing issue.
The Municipal Spillage Ordinance, Catalan riot victim support and ADHD awareness was also discussed and approved.
The only topic that remained unsolved was the Adelante Nerja Maro’s proposal to increase the budget allocation and staffing assistance to the Provincial Fire Consortium in Nerja after the party withdrew the motion.
