THREE soldiers on a fitness test march were taken to hospital after fainting.
Initially it was feared that one of the three may have gone into cardiorespiratory arrest, but hospital sources say all three are recovering well after suffering blackouts, although one has no recollection of the event.
The two men and one woman, all members of the Armoured Cavalry Regiment ‘Montesa’, were doing a test mandatory in the armed forces for all units of battalion strength.
It is a march of 10 kilometres carrying 20 kilos of kit. All the units of the General Command of Ceuta are carrying out this test at the moment and on Tuesday it was Montesa’s turn.
