TWO people have been arrested at Malaga airport on drugs charges in separate incidents.
In the first one, Guardia Civil saw a suspected person getting off a flight from Brazil to Malaga having transited through Casablanca (Morocco).
When officers stopped him, the man appeared nervous and hisluggage was searched, with no illegal items found.
But seeing the suspect was still nervous, agents decided to x-ray the man, with a large number of capsules revealed in his stomach.
He was taken to hospital due to the high level of danger he was in should the capsules contain narcotics and burts.
When passed through his system a total of 124 capsules containing a total of 1.43 kilos of cocaine were found.
In the second police action, officers manning a scanner detected several suspicious bags in a suitcase destined for a flight to Tallinn (Estonia).
They detained the case’s owner just as he was about to board the flight. A search of the suspicious luggage revealed 16.5 kilos of marihuana in four vacuum packed bags.
The Italian owner of the case was arrested and handed into court custody.
