POLICE INVESTIGATION: 12-week-old baby dies under suspicious cirumstances
A MAN AND A WOMAN have been arrested over the suspicious death of a 12-week-old baby in Cambridgeshire.
On November 1 a baby boy sustained serious injures in St Neots, a town 15 miles to the west of Cambridge and died in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge yesterday.
A police spokesman said: ‘His death is being treated as suspicious and an investigation has been launched.” Adding “A man and women have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have since been released on police bail until 28 November.”
As yet no more details have been disclosed.
Cambridgeshire Police do not want to name the alleged victim, suggesting his identification could hamper the investigation. Neither have they published the ages of those arrested or the address which they were called to.
At this stage, it’s unclear what injuries the boy sustained or how he died.
