NATIONAL police have busted one of the most active heroin and cocaine points of sale in Estepona.
It is reported that they arrested three people – two women and a man between the ages of 49 and 61 and all of Spanish nationality, as allegedly being responsible for drug trafficking offences.
A search of the premises uncovered a stash of 110 doses of cocaine, 22.3 grams of heroin, 33.4 hashish, 27 doses of methadone and €11,570 in cash
The investigation began in September when officers received information regarding illegal activities spotted by the neighbour of a man known to be dealing heroin. A surveillance device was set up to verify this activity which led them to the home of a suspect who had already been arrested four times for alleged drug offences.
However, officers were unable to pin anything on the man at that point. After further investigation, it was discovered that in order to evade the police the man had employed two women to make drug deliveries for him. This prevented drug users from having to come to his home and so reduced any suspicion of dealing.
