Alpujarras farmer found out for marijuana plantation

AN Alpujarras farmer is under arrest after Guardia Civil found getting on for 2,000 marijuana plants growing on his property.
Guardia Civil detained the 53-year old as part of an investigation into illegal marijuana production in the Illar area.
Officers searching the zone noticed a strong smell of marijuana search coming from his property. A search revealed there was a 50sqm indoor planation and a 3,000sqm greenhouse dedicated to growing the drug.
In all officers seized 1,890 plants, along with lamps, extractors, air-conditioning units and ventilators.
The detainee voluntarily handed over 400 grammes of marijuana buds prepared for drying which were inside the house.
