CANCER CARE JAVEA’S next big event covers the latest breakthroughs
in cancer, treatment and research.
The talk, organised to mark the first Oncology Day, will be held in the Assembly Hall at Denia Hospital next Tuesday, November 19 between 4.30pm and 6pm.
“We hope to encourage cancer patients and their families to attend, in fact everyone, to find out more and ask questions and have them answered by the Head of Oncology at the hospital,” the association said.
This will be the first opportunity to work in collaboration with the hospital on updating the public on diagnosis, treatment and investigation in cases of DSD patients diagnosed with colon, breast and gynaecological cancers.
The ECMOR Laboratory and Denia’s Oncology department are currently carrying out several projects of genetic sequencing in different types of tumours.
This allows them to select treatment based on the genetic results of patients, the hospital explained.
“Please come along and learn more,” the organisers said.
