Take a kilo and a leisurely walk in Albir RESCUE and humanitarian aid organisation USAR 13 Sixth Charity March will be held on Sunday, November 24. Unlike other years this will not include the Canicross competition but will be a leisurely walk up to the Albir Lighthouse for participants and their dogs, USAR 13 announced. The local organisation which uses specially-trained dogs in national and international rescue operations, also provides help for associations and those who are in need. The fee for the Charity March is a kilo of non-perishable food for the local food bank. There will also be a souvenir t-shirt of the event for anybody bringing more than three kilos of food, said USAR 13’s Miguel Angel Rodriguez. Those wishing to participate can do so from 9.30am onwards at the Centro de Educacion Ambiental – the old coastguards’ headquarters – in Albir, which is also the starting point for the March that sets out at 10.30am.
