FINESTRAT council has acquired a rather nifty and compact new vehicle which it said is ideal for cleaning the old town streets.

El Campello Mayor Juan Francisco Perez presented the new wheels in the Town Hall square, accompanied by Street Cleaning, Maintenance, Parks and Gardens councillor Tomas Selles, Works and Projects councilor Jose Vicente Lloret and personnel from the municipal cleaning service.

The vehicle’s size and features mean it will also be useful when it comes to tasks for putting on events.

“We have incorporated into the municipal fleet a very versatile professional vehicle with a great loading capacity, and which will mainly provide a service for the old town where the streets are very narrow, which means it is important that it is a very compact size to facilitate it getting around and maneuvering”, the Mayor commented.

Perez also said the council had aimed to “give all the guarantees of safety and comfort for the team in carrying out their work, as well as, once again, going for an efficient model and one which consumes less energy, which contributes to reducing the impact on or environment.”
