GUARDIA Civil seized 216 marijuana plants and neutralised an illegal connection to the power supply in a property in the El Parador de las Hortichuelas district of Roquetas de Mar.
The Guardia investigation into the property was prompted by information provided by a company specialising in the installation of security doors suggesting there could be an indoor marijuana plantation in the El Parador area.
Sure enough, the Guardia discovered a property virtually filled with large marijuana plants as well as the unauthorised hook up to the electricity network.
The Guardia said the investigation remained open and they had not ruled out the arrest for those responsible for crimes against public health and defrauding the power supply.
