THE Department of Culture and Festivities of Almuñécar, Spain has announced its Christmas Postcard Contest. In aim of promoting creativity amongst children in the municipality, the theme of this year’s competition is ‘How to celebrate Christmas in the town’, where at least one landmark in Almuñécar should appear”. Each entry must be made on a piece of A4 white cardboard. The jury will be made up of members of the City Council, with the winner receiving stationary and school supplies as well as a certificate of honour. The contest closes on December 5, with the awards ceremony taking place on December 14 at 5pm at the House of Culture. All entries will be also exhibited throughout Christmas at the cultural centre.
