Winter Party on the Rock

ONCE again, the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Ministry for Business and Tourism will be organising a Winter Party in Town on Saturday November 23.

Every year there is a special tribute band booked to appear and this year it’s Coldplace who are described as the world’s leading tribute to Coldplay.

This promises to be an amazing 90 minute show with spectacular audio visuals and effects covering all Coldplay hits in a tribute to one of the biggest selling bands in the world. It is certainly a fitting performance keeping in line with the family friendly day event.

This year the main event will once again take place Casemates Square, kicking off with the kid’s activities at 4pm and the whole event has been carefully designed to make it a family day event for all to enjoy.

Local upcoming band Crimson Clover who performed at this year’s Gibraltar Calling Music Festival will be appearing and they are heavily influenced by the Britpop sound but have an array of original songs as well

Local DJ’s No Limit Entertainment will be supporting the event after their successful sets at Gibraltar Calling Music Festival and Monkey Rocks.

Danza Academy and The Show Dance Company will also have dance performances, the latter celebrating ten years of dance.

A variety of traditional activities will also be on offer for the youngsters including a small fun fair, bouncy castles and special appearances by various Disney and Marvel/DC characters.

Santa will also be at the event meeting and greeting everyone in his Grotto from 4.30pm and he will take your Christmas wish list letters and will make sure that all presents arrive on time.

Food and drink will also be available all along the event.

OFF STAGE ACTIVITIES:

4.30pm to 6.30pm Meet Santa in his Grotto

4pm to 7pm bouncy castles and fun fair games stalls.

5pm to 7pm Disney Characters and Iron Man around the square for pictures
