Guardia Civil looking for robbers.
The victim of yesterday’s (November 21) shooting in Mijas on the Costa del Sol was a 39-year-old British man.
He was gunned down with five bullets as he arrived home to his luxury villa on the Riviera del Sol urbanisation after a trip to the gym.
The alarms went off at around 3.15 pm, when several people warned the Emergency Service 112 line that a shooting was taking place. Several witnesses claimed that they had heard gunshots and that a man had been shot inside his car.
A Guardia Civil patrol was first to arrive who satrted CPR on the victim. Medics arrived and took over, but the man could not be revived.
Police sources suggest the killing may be related to drug trafficking. An investigation is still trying to trace the high-end car used as a getaway vehicle.
Last Friday a man was killed on the Andasol urbanisation in Marbella, with another seriously injured in a shooting at 7.23 pm.
