A YOUNG man has been found stabbed to death outside a train station in west London, England.
Emergency services were called to Drayton Green Road near West Ealing Station at 1.18am this morning, finding the victim, who was reportedly in his early 20s, suffering from a stab wound. The victim was treated by paramedics, however, despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification has not been made and enquiries are underway to trace and notify his next of kin. A post mortem will also be scheduled in due course.
Transport services were diverted due to the fatal incident, with Transport for London (TFL) tweeting that “Drayton Green Road in West Ealing is closed in both directions between The Avenue and Alexandria Road due to a police incident outside West Ealing station. Bus Route E1, E7 and E11 are also diverted due to the closures on Drayton Green and Gordon Road”.
We at Euro Weekly News understand that the Metropolitan Police Service have so far made no arrests and have subsequently launched an investigation into the murder, taking several witness statements.
This is the latest of a long list of stabbings in the capital this year, with the Metropolitan Police revealing that the number of teenagers stabbed to death in London has hit an 11-year high.
