TAXI driver Phil Hamilton arrived safely in Benidorm after his 1,700 mile marathon journey from Newtownabbey in Ulster to collect injured friend Jim Moore.
After such a long journey, he is taking the chance to have a rest before planning to set out back to Northern Ireland on Thursday November 28 taking Jim and a family member back home.
The return trip will not be as gruelling as the journey out as they will travel from Benidorm to Santander which will take between about 10 hours (533 miles) take  an overnight Ferry from Santander to Cork  and finally drive the 270 miles from Cork to Newtownabbey which should take about six hours.
This means that Jim will be reunited with his family, loved ones and friends by the weekend.
