AN ACROBAT has fallen 30ft to the ground during a performance at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park London, England.
The incident occurred on Sunday, November 24, when acrobat Jackie Armstrong was performing at the Zippos Christmas Circuit Show, slipping out of her harness.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with the 35-year-old woman being taken to hospital.
Martin Buton, the Founder and Director of Zippos Circus Founder, released a statement stating that “Jackie is a very experienced artist whom we value dearly as part of our circus family.”
He added that the accident occurred whilst she was performing an aerial act and at “this stage we cannot comment further as we have no information on any injuries she may have sustained.”
We at Euro Weekly News understand that onookers reportedly screamed in horror as the woman plummeted to the ground. After the fall, audience members were asked to leave the tent and were offered tickets for the next performance that evening.
