COSTA BLANCA NEWS – BALANCING THE BOOKS IN BENIDORM

BENIDORM town hall has paid off €11.1 million off its Adjustment Plan debt which goes back to 2012.
The Plan de Ajuste was passed by the national government to help cash-strapped local governments when the economic crisis was at its height, and Benidorm, like many other town halls, had to ask for a bailout.
A further €2.8 million that is still pending from the 2012 loan will be paid off in 2023, announced the town hall’s finance councillor Aida Garcia Mayor.
