Register to vote in next month's election by 11.59pm tonight
More than a million Brits have registered to vote in the UK general election ahead of today’s registration deadline.
Between November 18 and 24, just over 1m people voted either online or by post. Seventy per cent are under 35 and 37 per cent under 25.
More than 300,000 people registered on Friday alone – the most people in a single day since the election was called last month.
And between October 22 and November 19, 1.5 million people aged under 34 registered. Under-35s make up the majority – 64 per cent – of applications to vote.
The deadline to apply to vote online is 11.59pm today, Tuesday November 26.
