ENGLISH NEWS: Woman falls to her death from block of flats in Wigan

A WOMAN in her sixties has fallen to her death from a high-rise block of flats in Wigan, England.

It is understood the woman fell from a balcony at Derby House in Scholes on the afternoon of November 24.

Emergency services rushed to the building, where paramedics treated the casualty, however, despite their best efforts the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police released a statement which read: “Shortly after 2.35pm on Sunday 24 November 2019, police were called to reports that a woman had fallen from a balcony in Wigan.”

We at Euro Weekly News understand that Greater Manchester Police are not treating the death as suspicious and a file will now be passed to the coroner.
