A POLLING analysis, carried out by Focaldata and based on a sample size of almost 40,000 British adults conducted between October 15 and November 24 indicates a clear advantage to Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party.

The analysis, reported by Metro, sees the Conservative Party to win up to 366 seats at the general election on December 12 and suggests that the Labour Party could end up with just 199 seats which would be lower that Labour’s calamitous result under Michael Foot in 1983 when the party finished with 209 MPs.

If the poll proves correct it would represent a huge victory for Mr Johnson and provide him with the stable foundations necessary to implement his Brexit deal and deliver his declared pledges.

But the data also highlights the result on polling day remains to be seen, suggesting that the outcome could shift dramatically based on tactical voting.

Best For Britain’s poll claims Boris Johnson could yet be deprived of a majority, if anti-Conservative voters target 57 marginal seats.

Best for Britain has identified 57 seats where it believes a small number of pro-EU voters could make the biggest difference and potentially endanger a Tory majority by voting tactically.

That being the case, the Tories could win between 309 and 366 seats, and Labour 199 and 244, based on whether the public vote tactically or not.

According to the strongly pro-Remain group’s analysis, the Scottish National Party will win between 44 and 52 seats, while the Lib Dems take 17 to 2
