Top lady golfers in Marbella for the Andalusia Costa del Sol Women’s Open of Spain

THE Costa del Sol will once again the centre of the world of golf with it hosting the Andalusia Costa del Sol Women’s Open of Spain
The tournament starts tomorrow (November 28) and finishes on Sunday at the Aloha Golf Club.
The CEO of Tourism Costa del Sol, Margarita del Cid said that the tournament has not only attracted big name stars but is of huge importance for the region.

As part of the European Ladies Golf circuit the tournament recieves world-wide TV coverage in 148 countries in 148 countries and reaches more than 500 million homes, broadcast on Sky Sport, Eurosport, Foxsport, Canal Plus, Golf Channel and Dubai Sport, among others.
For Margarita del Cid, “the Open also allows us to boast of the great professionals of the golf world who are linked to our destination including Azahara Muñoz, Ana Pelaez and Maria Parra, who are all prominent players originally from or trained on the Costa del Golf.”
She added that this event also serves to showcase the extraordinary facilities the Costa del Golf has to host major international events.

She said: “We must add that golf has a fundamental value in the sustainability of the Costa del Sol and this is a further step in our work to advance against tourism seasonality.”
