A MAN is fighting for his life after a crash brought a busy motorway in London, England, to a halt.
The incident occurred just before 2pm on Thursday, November 28, after two vehicles collided on the M25 near Enfield. Police, paramedics and the London Air Ambulance rushed to the scene, with the anti-clockwise carriageway blocked to allow the helicopter to land.
Police report that the driver of one of the cars, believed to be in his 30s, is in a “potentially life-threatening” condition.
Rush hour motorists faced long tailbacks on M25 junction 25 in north London in both directions, with all clockwise lanes closed between junctions 23 and 25. We at Euro Weekly News understand that the motorway has now been reopened.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“Police were called at 13.47pm on Thursday, November 28, to reports of a collision between two vehicles at junction 25 of the M25 in north London. LAS and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.
“The driver of the car, believed to be a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital. His condition is currently deemed potentially life-threatening.
“No other injuries reported so far and no arrests have been made.”
