ENJOY, discover or rediscover Huelva this Christmas holidays aboard a 100 per cent GREEN mode of transport.

The City Council of Huelva, through the Department of Tourism, Foreign Promotion and University and in collaboration with the company Tuk & Go, has launched yesterday (Thursday) a new tourist service. Picturesque and quaint routes through the city in electric vehicles tuk tuk.

During the presentation, the the town mayor Gabriel Cruz said that the iniciative was a “turning point” in the development of tourism in the area, with a eco-friendly strategy to promote the city showing its heritage, cultural values and at the same time boost the commercial and hotel activity.

The pilot experience will, for the time-being, run until January 8.

The mayor thanked the company Tuk & Go “for its courageous commitment to Huelva,” confident that the service will be very well received and hopes that after January 8 ‘Tuk & Go’ will decide to continue providing the service in the city of Huelva.

As Euro Weekly understands, the tuk tuk vehicles will stop at the entrance to the Casa Colón offering two different routes; one of half an hour and another of one hour. The pioneering service, costing between 6 – 10 euros, will show all the emblematic places of the city. Bars and restaurants, will also be promoted.
