The latest news on Spain’s olive press season is that this year has been a fantastic crop with such a warm summer. News has spread around the world in regards Spains fantastic crop this year to exporters in demand for the famous Spanish commodity.

On Thursday 28 November 2019, Spain celebrated World Olive Day  at the IOC ( International olive council) headquarters in Madrid.

We also expect shortly to see the decision to officially add the day to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage approved, Cementing it in the Spanish calendar.

The day also marked the 60th anniversary of the IOC, and both events coincided with the 110th session of the Council of Members.

 The Executive Secretariat had planned a special day of events, which included a technical visit, speeches were made  by distinguished guests, and the planting of olive trees in the new IOC garden. Several important documents we also signed.
