EURO WEEKLY READERS SELECT ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP CLUB LEEDS UTD

We the Euro Weekly News asked our readers apart from Premiership football – what Championship team our readers would like us to report on. The poll was taken on our facebook page  and the winners of the poll were the famous Leeds United.

Leeds United have a tremendous history, a club full of passion with some of the most passionate fans in the world of football.

Known for their football dominance in the 70’s 80’s and nineties until one Peter Ridsdale took the reigns and over spent in dramatic fashion and sent the club spiralling after a loss in the FA Cup to lowly Cardiff City then in the old third division as Leeds sat top of the Premier league.

Thankfully though the great traditional club Leeds Utd now seem after many turbulent years with different owners and Manager changes appear to be on the rise as they sit second in the Championship table just 2 points behind West Brom.

Today Leeds are home to Middlesbrough and have the opportunity today to go top of the table.

We are sure here in Spain all ex pat Leeds fans who voted for their club will be ” marching on together” and in that march now includes us the Euro Weekly News who will bring you all the latest from Leeds Utd.
