THE Animal Protection Society Albox (APSA) has put out an appeal for donations of Christmas gifts for the dogs in the charity’s care.
There are more than 100 dogs being looked after at the APSA kennels, plus there are more which are being fostered.
APSA hopes supporters will make donations of items like biscuits and collars at the charity’s shop next to Harrison’s supermarket in Avenida Lepanto in Albox town or at the charity’s stall at Los Llanos market.
Coming up on December 14 APSA is hosting a fabulous Christmas evening with carols by The Incognito Singers, mulled wine, mince pies and a super-duper Christmas raffle.
The event is being held at the Teatro Pedro Gilabert in Arboleas, starting at 8pm. Tickets are €5 from the APSA shop and market stall, Total Entertainment in Albox and Arboleas, One Stop Pools at Longos and from choir members. All the proceeds will go to the charity.
The busy ASPA shop currently has plenty of seasonal bargains, ranging from Christmas decorations to warm jumpers and coats.
The charity is having two Christmas raffles: one food and one drink. It is also running a Name the Teddy competition. All the money raised goes to help the dogs in APSA’s care.
