A MAN has been arrested after violently attacking a man during a night out in Magaluf, Mallorca, Spain. As reported by the National Police, the horrifying assault took place at Manos Bar on Camí de sa Porrassa in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 2). An employee of Nigerian nationality was busy working inside the bar’s bathroom, where his job was to offer clients colognes and towels. He was then approached by a man who asked if he sold drugs, responding politely that he was not a drug dealer and was simply working. It was then that the accused launched a viscous attack, throwing a barrage of racial insults at the employee before picking up a smashed piece of glass discarded in the sink and stabbing it into his neck. Security staff heard the commotion and quickly came inside the bathroom, restraining the man as they called the police and an ambulance for the employee who was lying unconscious on the floor. The victim was rushed to Son Espases Hospital were it is reported that he is in a critical condition. Officers from the National Police have charged the man, named as Juan Francisco FC, for attempted murder. As Euro Weekly News understands the investigation has now been taken over by the Guardia Civil.
