Costa del Sol: Malaga Volunteer Day

THE AYUNTAMIENTO de Malaga will celebrate International Volunteer Day today, December 5, with a series of activities honouring the residents of Malaga and the duties that they perform to make the city such a supportive place.

The Cervantes Theatre will host the XV Gala Málaga Volunteer Awards, which will recognize the work done by the city’s volunteers and the entities in which they carry out their altruistic work.

The jury’s decision will be announced during the gala and awards will be given in six categories: Equal Rights, Social Assistance, Environmental Protection, Culture Promotion, Health Prevention and Sports Promotion and International Cooperation. The winners will receive a bronze reproduction of the sculpture ‘Encuentro’ by Carlos Albert Andrés.
