COSTA DEL SOL NEWS: Drunk and drugged woman ‘raped on kitchen floor’ in Benalmadena

A WOMAN who was unconscious after a booze and drugs binge woke up to find herself being raped by an acquaintance of a few hours, a Malaga Provincial Court has been told. 

The incident happened in Benalmadena on Spain’s Costa del Sol in October 2018 when the victim was with a friend in the Plaza Solymar area. 

According to the Public Prosecutor, the two had met the man at about 7am. After some drinks the three decided to carry on partying in a closed restaurant in the area which the man had access to. 

There they consumed more alcohol and cocaine before the victim disappeared. She had gone to sleep on a mattress in the kitchen area, and she was later joined by her friend. 

The latter woke up some hours later when she felt someone touching her. She demanded that the accuse let her leave the premises, which he did. 

But the victim was then left alone with the man. She later woke up and allegedly found the defendant raping her having first undressed the woman. Despite her pleas to stop he carried on, forcefully holding her down. 

At this point police, alerted by the friend, arrived. They found she had suffered bruising and scratches during the attack. 

The defendant is accused of raping one woman and sexually abusing the other, with the prosecutor calling for a 12-and-a-half-year jail term and for the man to pay a total of €13,740 compensation to the victims.
